This is a collection with no end, mirroring the endless longing of the Oracle. This project arose from my thesis, "Endingbeginning," at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, where I explored the concept of longing and the figure of the Pythia, the Oracle of ancient Greece. Her longing serves as a guiding light, illuminating the mysteries beyond time and space. Her story, like this collection, is woven with endless threads.
We open a dialogue with the Air, the fifth element, the very essence that connects us. We attune ourselves to the messages of the faery queens, those otherworldly protectors of nature who whisper songs of renewal to the winds. To free the Oracle is to address the walls holding Her captive and create a vessel for Her voice. The faery queens whisper in poetry, a language of multidimensional seeing.
Each writual is unique, a key to unlock the Oracle's many longings, guiding us towards Her liberation. The key lies in the interplay between the inner and the outer. We listen to the secret messages of the ivy clinging to the cracks, to the stories echoing from the well of time. This is a manuscript waiting to be written, woven from wisdom gleaned from the depths of our being.
The 13th of each month becomes a sacred portal. It's a day imbued with the grace of Mary, holding the space for transformation. It's a day of the rose, a symbol of the divine feminine, a day to delve into the mysteries that reside within us all. On this day, we gather for a collective writing ritual, a practice designed to liberate the Oracle within.
Taking place in the jewels of the Earth; the ruins that have completed their circle. They are places that tie the past with the present and guide the future. In those places where the past remains, hopes and dreams find a haven to inhabit the space. Their condition of desolation acts as a container for human emotions. In front of ruins, our bodies slow down, adjusting to the rhythms of decay, and gradually open up – pouring out boundless awe.
